Setup of passive stereoscopic mode with nVidia® graphic cards: 1. Connect both VGA cables to graphic card and to the PowerUnit of HMD. (if you have VGA/DVI version use DVI-VGA adapters)
2. Install the actual nVidia® display-driver 3. Install consumer-stereo-driver with the same version-number (www.nvidia.com). 4. Choose 800x600@60Hz for primary display. 5. Choose clone-mode:
6. Patch the registry: Search key "StereoViewerType" and change to a value of 0x00000004. ATTENTION: At your own risk ! The following products supporting passive stereoscopic modes and working with dual VGA nVidia® graphics cards (dual VGA out, VGA/DVI-I out and dual DVI-I out) such as GeForce FX and Quattro cards:
Making stereoscopic images or applications If the operating system is configured correctly with "extended desktop" the primary VGA signal will be presented to your left eye, the secondary desktop to your right eye. To produce an stereoscopic image simply add two images 800x600 pixels resolution together to one image with 1600x600 pixels resolution and view it in full screen mode. Some image viewers do not support this mode ! To make your own application adjust the resolution of output windows to 1600x600 pixels resolution and run in full screen mode.
